In the shadows of war, we choose to be the light.
As war continued to tear through the streets of Ukraine, millions of children were forced to leave behind their homes, their schools, and the comfort of safety. Their laughter was replaced with the sounds of sirens, and their dreams, once filled with color, became clouded by fear and loss.
World Shelter Alliance responded swiftly through the Ukraine Hope & Recovery Project, a mission to provide immediate relief and emotional healing to displaced children and families. Volunteers worked around the clock, transforming temporary shelters into safe havens of warmth, comfort, and care.
π️ Reaching 6,500 Children
Over 6,500 Ukrainian children received food, clean water, clothing, and psychological support through this initiative. In cities like Lviv, Kyiv, and Kharkiv, our teams distributed care packages and organized play and learning sessions to help children regain a sense of normalcy and joy.
π° Total Funds Raised: $2.4 Million
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our donors, a total of $2.4 million was raised. Among the top supporters was Lee Dong Min, whose unwavering commitment continues to bring hope across continents. Other leading contributors — Natalia Kozlova, James Harrison, Fatima Al-Rahman, and Victor Adams — helped sustain this life-changing effort.
One mother tearfully shared, “For the first time in months, my son is smiling again. Thank you for reminding us that we are not forgotten.”
